UTA California Lobby ‘Afternoon’ is March 11
UTA holds its 6th Annual California Lobby ‘Afternoon’ on Tuesday March 11th. Members will meet with their State Assemblymen and Senators. A dinner event will be held that same evening in Sacramento.
ALFN Invites UTA Members to Participate in Regulatory & Legislative Policy Summit
The ALFN hosts its annual legislative and regulatory policy summit, Advocacy Day, in Washington, DC on April 9 and invites all UTA members to participate in the day-long summit.
Contra Costa County Judge Delays Relocation of Sales Deadline to May 31
Contra Costa County Superior Court Presiding Judge Barry Good has amended his order to continue sales at the courthouse through May 31, 2014. Sales were to be set somewhere for after the February 15, 2014 deadline to find an alternative site to the courthouse.
One More Class on CFPB Regulations Impacting Non-judicial Foreclosures on the Docket
UTA’s February 11 class in Orange County on the regulations was very successful, and the final class on provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act and CFPB regulations impacting non-judicial foreclosures will be held on February 27 in Dallas.
UTA’s Washington Lobby Day a Success – Next Up: California Lobby Day
UTA’s Lobby Day, held January 28th in Olympia, Washington, was a success, with nine members joining UTA’s state lobbyist, Holly Chisa, and meeting with several lawmakers.

Department of Veterans Affairs Increases Allowable Fees for Foreclosures
In November 2013, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced an increase in the allowable maximum attorney fees for legal work related to nonjudical and judicial foreclosures in several states.
