UTA is offering the California Basic (Level I) Foreclosure Certification Course and Exam on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007 at 10:00 am in San Diego, California at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. The four-hour course is open to UTA members and non-members and is followed by a one-hour open book exam. Only UTA members may be certified as Trustee Sale Officers. By offering the CA-I (Basic) Course on October 2nd, members who pass the course will have the opportunity to take the CA-II (Intermediate) Course on Saturday, October 27th in La Jolla, the day preceding the 32nd Annual Education Conference & Trade Show.
The course instructor on October 2nd will be Randy Newman of National Foreclosure Service.
The course syllabus and one-hour exam covers state foreclosure procedures; monetary and non-monetary defaults; judicial vs. non-judicial foreclosures; what a lender provides to the Trustee; what a trustee does; notice of default; notice of sale; review of Trustee's Sale Guarantees; reinstatement; presale redemption; sale; Trustee's Deed; Proceeds of Sale; and Bankruptcy.
