
Mike Belote
UTA’s very own, Mike Belote, was inducted into Capitol Weekly‘s Hall of Fame 2025. The Hall of Fame is Capitol Weekly‘s way of honoring a few folks each year whose impact on the Capitol community has been so significant that they must be permanently acknowledged and honor them for all they have accomplished in their stellar careers.
Mike Belote, a 2025 Capitol Weekly Hall of Fame inductee, has been a central figure in California politics for nearly five decades. A 10-time member of the Top 100 list, he has shaped policy across diverse sectors and was instrumental in the first major reform of California’s lemon law since 1970. As a longtime leader at California Advocates, he has represented major corporations as well as legal organizations like the California Judges Association. A lawyer by training, Belote previously worked with influential trade associations and is also recognized for his philanthropic efforts with groups supporting legal aid, veterans, and community services.
