UTA Member Dean Prober, Partner with the law firm, Prober & Raphael, has died. Dean passed away peacefully March 1, 2018, surrounded by his family after his heroic battle with cancer.
“It is with indescribable sadness that we inform our friends, clients, and business associates of the death of Dean Prober, the firm’s senior partner and president,” said Dean’s law firm partner, Lee Raphael.
Dean was a graduate of UCLA and Southwestern School of Law. Dean’s passion for his practice and the law was second only to his unending love and devotion to his family, friends and co-workers. As one of the firm’s original partners, “Dean worked tirelessly to build a law practice dedicated to the belief that you should never over promise to the client but instead do your darned best to surpass their expectations,” said Raphael. The firm will carry on in Dean’s memory under the continued direction of managing partner Lee Raphael.
“Dean’s infectious laugh, his love of cowboy boots, and his unwavering belief that this was the Dodgers’ year will be missed by all who knew him,” said Raphael. “Above all else, Dean will be remembered for being a decent man who worked hard and wanted only the best for those around him.”
Dean is survived by his wife Debra, his children Erin, Blaine and Sydney and his son-in-law Cory. Dean’s family requests that any donations in his honor be made to the Camp Hess Kramer Center Camp Fund or the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. Funeral services were held at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills on March 5th.
