-Award Honors Legendary UTA Past-President, Corporate Counsel and Member-
UTA has announced that it will present the ‘Phil Adleson Award’ annually to a member who both educates and advocates on behalf of UTA and its membership.
“This annual award will honor a member whose efforts on behalf of our association and our industry follow in the footsteps that Phil forged for decades,” said UTA President, Cathe Cole-Sherburn. “And, importantly, it will eternally honor Phil who was tireless in both avenues. His education of our members on every conceivable legal and legislative topic of relevance to our practice simply cannot be measured. His development of our certification courses was tremendous in terms of educating hundreds of Trustee Sale Officers. And his advocacy before the courts, the legislatures and local government entities over decades allowed us to practice in a way that was fair and as expedient as possible to all parties.’”
The first recipient of the award will be announced at UTA’s 42nd Annual Conference, held November 5-7th at the Peppermill Resort, Spa & Casino in Reno, Nevada.
Additionally, the Board has voted to maintain an honorary permanent seat on the Board of Directors in perpetuity for Phil.
While the Board holds 15 seats, 14 seats will be filled.
