Joyce Copeland honored

Past President Joyce Copeland Clark of Wright Finlay and Zak was honored by the Association for her tremendous contributions to UTA during UTA’s Annual Meeting Luncheon, held November 10th at the M Resort in Las Vegas.

“Joyce Copeland Clark served for two years as President of the Association,” said UTA President Randy Newman in presenting the award. “She served on several conference panels and moderated several dinner panels, always providing informative information for members. She worked closely with new lobbyists in Nevada and Oregon – in fact, we held our first and second lobby days in Washington and Nevada under Joyce’s leadership.”

“Joyce was actively involved in working groups on the California Homeowner Bill of Rights implementation; Nevada Affidavits and when mediation is required under the Nevada Homeowners Bill of Rights; the tolling time statute; and property registration ordinances. Under Joyce’s leadership, UTA held classes – and a webinar – on the new CFPB rules and California HOBR. Joyce also led two great conferences bringing back the ‘black tie’ casino dinner events in Berkeley and Palm Springs.”
