The TPC Stadium CourseUTA will be offering members three leisurely social networking opportunities at the 39th Annual Education Conference, held November 9-11th in La Quinta, California. On Sunday, November 9th, members may participate in the UTA’s 21st Annual Golf Tournament; a ‘Wine & Canvas’ event; and a Hiking Adventure.

The ‘Wine & Canvas’ Event will be held from 2-5 pm. Join your colleagues and friends as talented artists help you create a featured La Quinta desert scene while you enjoy wine. You’ll take home your own work of art. Life is too short for blank walls – unleash your inner Picasso! (Registration fee is $50.)

The ‘La Quinta Hiking Adventure’ will be held from 9-11 am. Explore La Quinta’s trails on foot with a tour guide and you’ll experience the beautiful desert setting first-hand! Hiking trails of all levels are abundant in and around La Quinta, from easy walking paths to difficult terrain. You’ll experience spectacular mountain vistas, waterfalls, natural streams, rocky gorges, and unusual rock formations. (There is no registration fee for the event, but you must register.)

Tee Time is 8:30 am for UTA’s 21st Annual Golf Tournament, this year held at the beautiful TPC Stadium Course at PGA WEST at the La Quinta Resort & Club (10-minute van ride). Walk in the footsteps of legends. Designed for golf’s biggest stage, The TPC Stadium Course — home of the Skins Game — is where legends have made history. This par-72 Pete Dye-designed jewel is a “must play” for those seeking the ultimate golf challenge. A favorite among touring professionals, and ranked among the best by Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, and Golfweek, Pete Dye crafted one of the most challenging tracks you can play; creating 18 individual masterpieces, each with a character and identity all its own. The infamous 17th tee, known as “Alcatraz”, was inspired by the 17th-island green at TPC Sawgrass. TPC Stadium derives its mystique from unique undulations, cavernous bunkers and peninsula and island par 3s. Tournament highlights include the Skins Game, Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf and the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. (Registration fee is $175.)
