Biography:

I moved to San Diego from Florida when I was 18 to surf. I rented a room, attended junior college, transferred to San Diego State University and attended the University of San Diego Law School. Since then, I became litigation counsel for lenders, servicers, investors, trustees and others in the mortgage industry for more than thirty (33) years. I have tried more than a hundred bench and jury trials throughout California, resulting in a significant number of published California cases benefitting the mortgage industry. I have enjoyed the freedom of having my own law firm for twenty five (25 years), which provided me with many opportunities to help raise my four (4) beautiful, smart and strong daughters. The last one, number 4 we call her, is a senior at the University of Oregon, making me an “empty nester.”

Why I would like to be a member of the Board of Directors and/or my vision for UTA:

When I first joined, it was CTA. Now, its UTA. Regardless, the organization has provided me with wonderful opportunities and friends over the years. I have learned much, given what I could, and enjoyed every minute of it. I have made many friends, old and new, over the years and believe that it is now time to become more involved and give back. I have a lot to offer and can provide insight and assistance and would very much enjoy being part of the team leading UTA into the future. I also love to play craps.
As a current member of the Board of Directors and Membership Committee, I enjoy working to increase the visibility of UTA as an organization dedicated to the betterment of our industry.
