Glenn Wechsler, with Law Offices of Glenn Wechsler, was awarded the Dorothy Schick Member of the Year during the Association’s 50th Annual Education Conference. Wechsler has been an advent member of UTA and CTA for 30 years.
Wechsler received the award for his work on the UTA Board for six years – as CFO for two years and several years on the Membership Committee. Wechsler has written articles for the UTA Quarterly, moderated and participated as a panelist at our annual conference and participated in our annual Lobbying Day in Sacramento.
In presenting the award, UTA President Edward Treder said that Wechsler “has written many articles for UTA Quarterly; has been on the Board for six years and served as our CFO for two years as well as serving on the Membership Committee for several years.” Treder also noted that “Wechsler has participated in our Lobbying Day in Sacramento and has championed foreclosure/trustee/BFP issues in Court throughout California – most notably in the recent high profile Elder Abuse case in Alameda County last year.”
“I could not be more proud to be recognized for my contributions to such a fine organization,” said Wechsler. “I know that there are many extraordinary members who are equally deserving of this honor.”
The award honors members for their service and contributions to the Association and the industry and is given to a member who has elevated the Association in its mission to foster and promote the quality of the default services industry through their extraordinary efforts and dedication. Award winners are nominated by UTA’s Committee Chairs and Board Members with a final determination of the winner made by the Board of Directors.
