Fannie and Freddie Speakers Highlight Annual Conference

Representatives from Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac highlight the sessions at UTA’s 46th Annual Education Conference, held at the Peppermill Resort in Reno, Nevada, November 7-9th, 2021.  Room rates are just $100 per night (plus $25 resort fee).

Dean Meyer, Director, Non-performing Loan Management, Freddie Mac and Todd Barton, Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Fannie Mae will address post-moratorium servicing and default management issues, including CFPB’s 2021 Mortgage Servicing COVID-19 Rule effective 08-31-21. The panel, moderated by Edward Treder, Esq., of Barrett Daffin Frappier Treder & Weiss, will be held on Monday November 8th. UTA is working to add a CFPB representative to the panel as well.

This year’s conference will also feature a Judges Panel with the Honorable Charles Novack, Northern District of California; the Honorable Scott C. Clarkson, Central District of California; the Honorable Christopher G. Jaime, Eastern District of California; and the Honorable August B. Landis, District of Nevada.  The session will be moderated by Benjamin R. Levinson, Esq., Law Offices of Benjamin R. Levinson.

Additionally, attendees will attend an Economic Forecast from Rick Sharga, Executive VP of RealtyTrac; a panel addressing new requirements for trustees, title companies, servicers, and posting and publishing companies as well as general sessions on Legislation in Western States; Case Law in Western States; and Large and Small Trustee’s Roundtable.

The Earlybird registration deadline is September 17th.  In addition to the CLE accredited sessions, this year’s conference features a trade show and Country & Western Dinner Dance with line-dancing instruction and a live country & western band.
