Representatives from Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac highlight the sessions at UTA’s 49th Annual Education Conference, held at the M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas, November 10-12, 2024. Room rates are $179 per night, Sunday through Tuesday. Saturday night is $289. ($30 resort fee).
Dean Meyer, Director, Non-performing Loan Management, Freddie Mac, and Graham Kidner, Esq., Associate General Counsel, Fannie Mae, will address the current state of affairs of the default industry from the GSE perspective and provide their thoughts going forward. Caren Castle, Esq., of The Mortgage Law Firm moderates the panel.
This year’s conference will also feature a session on ‘The Rise of Homeowner’s Insurance Cancellations, Increased Premiums, and Their Impact on Mortgager Payments’ as well as a session focusing on the differences of nonjudicial foreclosure actions for HOA liens, reverse mortgages, and mobile and manufactured homes, including tiny homes.
Additionally, attendees will enjoy an Economic Forecast from Rick Sharga, Founder and CEO of CJ Patrick Company; a session on how the ‘sausage’ of laws are made; a vital update on Cybersecurity; Large and Small Trustees Roundtables; and comprehensive Legislative and Case Law Update panels with detailed summaries of the key issues and bills addressed this year in all Western states.
In addition to a class on the California Basic Foreclosure Certification course, this year’s conference features a return of ‘The Adleson Cup’, UTA’s golf tournament honoring UTA’s late Corporate Counsel, Phil Adleson; a ‘peace and love’ themed dinner event featuring a live auction; and a fun tie-dye shirt making session.
