Fannie and Freddie Speakers Highlight Annual Conference

Representatives from Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac highlight the sessions at UTA’s 48th Annual Education Conference, held at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino in Reno, November 5-7, 2023. Room rates are just $100 per night, Saturday through Tuesday (plus $20 resort fee).

Dean Meyer, Director, Non-performing Loan Management, Freddie Mac, and Graham Kidner, Esq., Associate General Counsel, Fannie Mae, will address the current state of affairs of the default industry from the GSE perspective and provide their thoughts going forward. Caren Castle, Esq., Director of Marketing and Compliance and Lead Attorney, IDEA Law Group, joins the panel moderated by Cathe Cole-Sherburn, Sr. VP of Operations, Trustee Corps.

This year’s conference will also feature a Bankruptcy Update panel with the Honorable August Landis, District of Nevada; the Honorable Christopher D. Jaime, Eastern District of California; the Honorable Stephen L. Johnson, Northern District of California; and Benjamin R. Levinson, Esq., Law Offices of Benjamin R. Levinson who will moderate the panel.

Additionally, attendees will enjoy an Economic Forecast from Rick Sharga, Founder and CEO of CJ Patrick Company; a presentation by David Passey, Director of External Affairs, FEMA Region 9 on ‘Natural Disasters and Delays in Foreclosure’; and comprehensive Legislative and Case Law Update panels with detailed summaries of the key issues and bills addressed this year in all Western states.

In addition to the California Basic Foreclosure Certification course, this year’s conference features a Bundox Bocce event and a ‘denim and bling’-themed Dinner event featuring a live auction and a performance by DJ Fresh.
