With plenty of time to prepare, the recording costs in Arizona are increasing. Effective July 1, 2019, Arizona Revised Statutes Section 11-475 will be amended to revise the fee structure for the recording of all documents. Rather than charging five dollars for the first five pages, plus one dollar for each additional page, or various flat fees depending on the type of document to be recorded, the county recorder will charge a flat fee of thirty dollars per instrument. A lesser charge of fifteen dollars per instrument will apply to documents recorded by government agencies. While the $30 fee is an increase from the current fee, this is a flat rate—$30 regardless of number of pages or number of indexing categories . It should be further noted that the new recording fees include the special recording charge prescribed in the amended version of Section 11-475.01 that also goes into effect on July 1, 2019.
