Biography:

Ten years ago I started my career as a litigator representing lenders, servicers and foreclosure trustees in all matters related to residential mortgages. In the first six and a half years of my career I was a litigator practicing in civil and bankruptcy courts, while also acting as a part time consultant to affiliated foreclosure trustee, posting and publication and escrow entities. After six and a half years I became house-counsel for a multi-state default services law firm and its foreclosure trustee entity. As a house-counsel, initially I focused on the Arizona, California, and Nevada region, and meeting the legal needs of the foreclosure trustee in that region in a landscape of unprecedented foreclosure and default servicing regulation. Later on I focused on the legal needs of the default services law firm in the multiple western states in which the law firm operated. With the surge of regulatory and oversight requirements that our industry experienced in 2011, 2012 and 2013, my efforts have been largely spent on regulatory and compliance matters. I continue to exclusively represent lenders, servicers and foreclosure trustees in the mortgage banking and default services field and continue to monitor legislative, regulatory and case law updates in the western states.

Why I would like to be a member of the Board of Directors and/or my vision for UTA:

A few years ago when I first ran for the Board of Directors my thoughts were with the regulatory surge that our industry was experiencing, how to comply with the deluge, what impact it would have on operation, and what safeguards and best practices were available for us in the default services industry. After having dealt with regulatory and compliance matters for a few years, and having experienced the impact on the industry firsthand, my thoughts now are with colleagues and friends who are finding themselves displaced, scattered or dislodged. While regulation and compliance efforts continue and endure, I would like to extend efforts toward reaching out, keeping people connected to each other, and helping each other sustain.
