California Foreclosure Certification - Course & Exam (Level II)
(Conference registration fee does not include certification course.)

UTA will offer its California Intermediate Level Certification Program. Among other topics, this program will focus upon complex foreclosures including multiple notes, multiple deeds of trust, cross-default clauses, mixed collateral loans, mechanics liens, IRS liens, special federal liens, special issues at the sale, forbearance or workout agreements and Bankruptcy (in more depth than required for basic certification).

This 4-hour course is followed by a one-hour exam for UTA members who seek a UTA California Intermediate certificate. (Lunch is included.)

The four-hour course syllabus followed by a one-hour open-book exam covers state foreclosure procedures; monetary and non-monetary defaults; judicial vs. non-judicial foreclosures; what a lender provides to the Trustee; what a trustee does; notice of default; notice of sale; review of Trustee’s Sale Guarantees; reinstatement; presale redemption; sale; Trustee’s Deed; Proceeds of Sale; and Bankruptcy.
