I am not a committee member, but I participate in the Legislative Committee meetings due to interest. I contribute regularly to the UTA Quarterly. I attend meetings and annual conferences, and I will be a speaker/panelist at the 2011 annual conference.
BIOGRAPHY:
I was admitted to practice law in California in 2005, started out as a mortgage banking litigator, and have been practicing in the field ever since. My career has been exclusively focused on mortgage banking, default servicing, and foreclosure services. While the majority of my experience consists of representing lenders, loan servicers, trustees and title companies in litigation, recently I have shifted the focus to trustee representation. Knowledge of mortgage banking and loan servicing is helpful, if not necessary to working with trustees, and vice versa. In addition to litigation, I am also interested in legislative activity, and am becoming more involved with compliance.

WHY I WOULD LIKE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS and/or MY VISION FOR UTA:

I am actively involved with the UTA. I regularly attend meetings, and frequently contribute to the UTA Quarterly. I participate in Legislative Committee meetings and follow legislative tracking. I participate in Lobby Day and annual conference. I would like to be able to be more involved with the UTA and contribute more. UTA is a great source for learning, networking and influencing. UTA gives a voice and a presence to the trustees, which is felt in the legislative and judicial landscape. UTA provides compliance education for trustees and those who support them. UTA provides business contacts for trustees and those who support them. UTA gathers trustees and activates and motivates them as a group. UTA identifies and connects local trustees and their related businesses. UTA helps trustees move forward in their business. UTA enables local trustees to stay in business and remain compliant. The benefit that I have received from UTA has been tremendous, and I believe a synergy can be achieved by bringing a group of motivated, focused, and active people together, all proceeding on the same path. I have not been a member of the UTA long enough to remember it being any smaller than it is now, however, I have been a member long enough to envision it to increase in presence and influence in the states it currently covers, and more. I would like our connections to expand, our legal knowledge to ever increase, and our obstacles to get tackled with more resources. Current foreclosure atmosphere is different perhaps than it has ever been. There is a need for trustees and their support services to unite and associate more than ever.
