BIOGRAPHY:
I began doing foreclosures on the beneficiary side in 1987 at Guild Mortgage Company and continued on the beneficiary side with various companies including Imperial Savings and First National Bank. I transferred to the trustee side of the industry in 1993 when I took a position as Trustee Sales Officer at Cal-Western Reconveyance Corp. At that time I became a member of the California Trustee's Association (CTA) which later became the UTA. Having the beneficiary experience proved to be beneficial in this transition. I later worked for a smaller, independently owned trustee in Temecula in 2003, where I was introduced to private beneficiaries and the many associated challenges, which I found very interesting and enjoyable. In 2008 I accepted the position of Assistant Vice President at UnionBanCal Mortgage Corp, the in-house trustee for Union Bank. This move rounded out my experience perfectly; beneficiary, large private trustee, small private trustee now large in-house trustee for a national bank.

WHY I WOULD LIKE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS and/or MY VISION FOR UTA:

UTA continues to be the greatest asset the trustee industry has available to it by providing ongoing education, up-to-date information, continuing support and a loud legislative voice to the benefit of each and every trustee, beneficiary and homeowner within its jurisdiction. In this current chaotic environment this has never been more important and the UTA continues to be the strongest voice in the industry. UTA is built upon and only exists because of the active participation of its members and the vast knowledge, experience and diversity each member brings to the table. I am proud to be a long time member of the UTA and would be thrilled to be part of this incredible diverse group and work hard to continue to promote and expand the mission of the UTA for the ongoing success of its members and the industry as a whole.
