WHY I WOULD LIKE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS and/or MY VISION FOR UTA:
As one of the board members upon formation of the UTA, I have witnessed the growth and transition of the organization into additional states and areas of the mortgage default industry. We’ve come a long way, with quite a view still ahead for the organization. As the Legislative Chairperson since 2004, I have appreciated the impact of clarifying legislation as to how it affects trustees and differentiates them from servicers or beneficiaries. The recent expansion of the UTA efforts by retaining lobbyist in Oregon, Washington, and Nevada in response to misdirected legislation has surfaced the need for the UTA to play a part in the legislatures understanding of how the process works. It’s rewarding to see things coming together through the UTA in a time of need.
