UTA Hires New Oregon Lobbyist

Shawn Miller
UTA has hired Shawn Miller and Elizabeth Howe as the Association’s new Oregon lobbyists. Shawn and Elizabeth will represent UTA in all of the Association’s interests before the Oregon State Legislature, licensing boards and regulatory agencies. They will specifically work toward ensuring that barriers to nonjudicial foreclosures are eliminated. Additionally, they are tasked with monitoring the Oregon Foreclosure Avoidance Mediation Program and ensuring that program’s rules are fair.
“We are pleased to have Shawn and Elizabeth as our advocates in Oregon, where servicers are unfortunately increasingly using the judicial process,” said Joyce Copeland, UTA President. “Shawn and Elizabeth will represent us with respect to several bills in Oregon that impact MERS loans and threaten financial penalties to trustees for various matters.” |
