Some California HOBR Rules Announced

HOBR Rules

The California Department of Corporations (DOC) has issued a release regarding the Homeowners’ Bill of Rights (HOBR) with a threshold for the rules for mortgage servicers with 175 foreclosures. 

The DOC release also referenced a website for the translations of the Summaries of the Notice of Default and Notice of Sale into English and the five official languages of California pursuant to the passage of AB 1599.  The requirement date for the translated summaries is April 1, 2013 (not February 19).
