Sample California Homeowners' Bill of Rights Documents Produced by Working Group

Docs are for discussion
A UTA working group has developed sample documents for discussion purposes as mandated by the California Homeowners’ Bill of Rights. The two documents are a Borrower Contact Declaration and a Notice of Postponement.
“We felt that it was important for an industry consensus to emerge regarding the documents”, said UTA Director Chris Pummill of NDeX West who led the working group. “While the documents we discussed and developed are not UTA-endorsed, they do provide a starting point for member Trustees to use in their discussions with their counsel as they comply with the California Homeowner Bill of Rights.”
Disclaimer: These documents are merely samples for discussion purposes only. Trustees need to seek legal opinions from their own Counsel prior to use as they are not legal documents.
