Scottsdale Horseback Riding and Jeep Tour Events Available

Several ways to tour
the Sonoran desert

UTA will be offering members two spectacular social networking opportunities at the 37th Annual Education Conference, held November 10-13th in Scottsdale, Arizona.  On Sunday, November 11th, members may participate in a horseback riding adventure or a desert jeep tour.

The horseback riding tour is a quintessential Arizona adventure - a classic trail ride!  Participants will view Arizona's spectacular desert scenery from the back of a horse, providing a taste of the Old West.  Riding trails that have been used for hundreds of years by lawmen, outlaws, Native-Americans and settlers, participants will feel the towering saguaro cactus gazing upon them as they enjoy the mysteries of the Sonoran Desert and the wild west and what makes this landscape special. The actual riding time is two hours.

Attendees may also enjoy a desert jeep tour.  No matter where you go, one of the best ways to explore the area is with a 4x4 Jeep.  The Sonoran Desert is no exception.  Participants will experience the ruggedness of this amazing landscape.  Guides are trained naturalists who will explain participants how the original inhabitants of this area thrived and about the Sonoran Desert's our unique flora & fauna, as we discover what makes this desert special.

Both tours require registration and payment and are not included in the conference fees.  The horseback riding adventure is $90 and the desert jeep tour is $105.
