UTA Hires New Nevada Lobbyist

UTA has hired Cheryl Blomstrom as the Association’s new Nevada lobbyist.  Cheryl will represent UTA in all of the association’s interests before the Nevada State Legislature, licensing boards and regulatory agencies.

“We are pleased to have Cheryl as our advocate in Nevada, which has been a very active and aggressive State with respect to trustees. Nevada’s mediation program has, unfortunately, served as a model for other states, despite its rampant problems,” said Robert Finlay, Esq., UTA President. Cheryl will work to positively impact the program’s rules as well mitigate adverse legislation.”

Prior to founding Blomstrom Consulting in 2001, Cheryl served as the Director of Government Affairs for the Associated General Contractors.
