Oregon Governor Signs Bill That Repeals Requirement For Grantor
and Grantee Addresses of Page One of Recorded Documents

Gov. Kitzhaber
On Friday, March 16, 2012, Governor Kitzhaber signed Senate Bill 4111 into law. The new law repeals the requirement that the grantor’s and grantee’s addresses appear on Page One of a recorded document. The bill restores the status in place before the bill took effect on January 1, 2012. It is no longer necessary to use a cover sheet for the sole purpose of placing the grantor’s and grantee’s addresses on Page One.
