Three Media Stories of Interest

FL Gov. Rick Scott

Three stories reported in the media are of interest. First, Florida’s Governor Rick Scott is seeking to  make Florida a nonjudical State. “The longer it [foreclosure] takes, it slows down what actually happens in the real market,” the Governor said in an interview in which he noted his desire to remove judges from the foreclosure process.

Second, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has unveiled a new complaint review process for homeowners who believe that they were the victims of an improper foreclosure.

And finally, a new reality TV show, called “Betting the House” will focus on Arizona Foreclosure Auctions.  Three veteran bidders will try to outmaneuver each other at Maricopa County’s foreclosure auctions.
