MERS Counsel to Join "Trends in Litigation" Session

Brandie Peeples, MERS Counsel, will join a panel with Robert Finlay, Esq., Wright Finlay & Zak, Michelle Mierzwa, Esq., Cal-Western Reconveyance Corp., and David Brooks, Esq., Bank of America, in an exciting UTA session “Trends in Litigation”, held on Monday November 14th during the Association’s 36th Annual Education Conference in Las Vegas. 

The session on current trends in foreclosure-related litigation will cover the latest challenges to MERS; attacks on the nonjudicial foreclosure process; litigation over standing to foreclose; the latest foreclosure-avoidance schemes, and more. 

Brandie H. Peeples joined MERSCORP, Inc., in January 2008 as in-house counsel for the corporation.  As a member of the MERS team, she oversees the management of litigation, advises attorneys around the country on how to enforce and defend MERS liens, and is responsible for handling legal inquiries about MERS from MERS members and the mortgage industry. Before joining MERS, Brandie was a litigator with law firms in Ohio and Virginia.
