Third-Party Auditors Session Held Prior to Annual Conference

Catherine Brown, Managing Director of Treliant Risk Advisors, will join Jonathan Jaffe, Partner, K&L Gates, and Cathe Cole-Sherburn and Cathe Cole-Sherburn of Trustee Corps, will lead an open forum roundtable discussion on Saturday, November 12th, 2011 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa in Las Vegas. The roundtable is held the day prior to the opening of the conference. The session is not part of the conference and there is no charge to attend the event, but to attend you must register.
Third-Party Auditors and Compliance Regulators that review trustee's files are no longer a sporadic occurrence but are now a continuous part of operations. This bonus session will address how to best work with various regulators.
Catherine Brown is a Managing Director of Treliant Risk Advisors. Catherine is also a specialist in Consumer Compliance and advises clients on regulatory requirements and trends in Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act programs, Anti-Money Laundering, and Enterprise Risk Management. Catherine has designed and implemented regulatory compliance programs for large, complex institutions. She has considerable experience in managing relationships with federal regulatory agencies, which includes preparing banks to anticipate and respond to regulatory inquiries and remediation.
Jonathan D. Jaffe is a partner in the San Francisco, California office of K&L Gates, where he has a state and national practice concentrating in matters relating to consumer and commercial finance, financial services, real estate, e-commerce and general corporate law. He has served as in-house General Counsel of a national mortgage banking firm and as in-house Senior Counsel of two savings associations and a savings and loan holding company. Mr. Jaffe's clients include a broad range of consumer and commercial finance lenders, mortgage bankers and brokers, banks, savings associations, real estate professionals and web-based financial service providers. In his mortgage and consumer finance practice, he advises clients in all aspects of the primary and secondary markets, including licensing, transactional, regulatory, technology and loan administration matters.
Cathe Cole-Sherburn serves as Vice President of Default for Trustee Corps. She is responsible for managing, strategic planning and development of the division. Cole-Sherburn brings over 30 years of all aspects of real estate mortgage default experience to the company. Before joining Trustee Corps, Cathe was with the First American Trustee Servicing Solutions, where she was Senior Vice President. Prior to that, she was with the firm of Routh Crabtree Olsen/Northwest Trustee Services, where she was the Director of Operations and instrumental in setting up the AZ, CA, and HI offices and obtaining the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae Counsel Designations. Prior to that, she was the Director of Operations for the Law Offices of Steven J. Melmet, Inc., for 14 years, and instrumental in obtaining in the Freddie Mac Designation.
