Media: Rigging at Trustee Sales; Reality TV; and Questionable Ads

Las Vegas attorneys
Haines and Krieger
have run controversial ads

An article in the Las Vegas Review Journal recounts a local television ad in Las Vegas for a law firm that promises to show homeowners how to stay in their homes without paying on their mortgages.  The gist of the ads:  Your neighbors aren’t paying of their mortgages so why should you?

The San Francisco Chronicle reports on a group involved in collusion regarding foreclosure auctions.

Finally, MortgageOrb.com reports that Spike TV is planning a reality TV show about two men who try to cash in on foreclosures while Bravo TV will feature its own reality show (“Flipping Out”) featuring a house flipper who seeks out foreclosure properties for renovation.  Not to be outdone, two other networks (A&E and DIY Network) will soon premier foreclosure-themed reality shows.
