UTA Testifies in Oregon On Loan Modification Bill

UTA’s Oregon Lobbyist, Drew Hagedorn recently testified in opposition to SB 827 (Loan Modification bill).  The Senate committee received a lot of testimony from the proponents of the bill, but there appears to be a general understanding that the bill needs work so, UTA will seek to amend the proposal.

Hearings were also held on SB 491, a ‘tenant rights’ bill, and the committee received testimony on wholesale amendments.  Negotiations continue on this legislation and UTA is currently reviewing amendments to the bill.
