UTA's 3rd Annual California Lobby Day & Dinner is March 15th

UTA will hold its 3rd Annual California Lobby Day on Tuesday March 15th. Members will meet with their State Assemblyman and Senators after a briefing provides them with talking points from UTA’s California lobbyist, Mike Belote. A dinner, featuring speaker Senator Juan Vargas (D-40), the Chair of the Senate California Banking & Financial Institutions Committee will be held that same evening in Sacramento.

Senator Vargas will discuss the legislative landscape in the Senate as well as legislation that affects trustees.
 
“It’s imperative that UTA members express the other side of the story when it comes to the trustee and non-foreclosure law,” said Ron Roup, Esq., Roup & Associates, UTA’s Legislative Committee Chair. “Too often the emotions reign on this issue without a view to the factual implications of the regulation and how it will be implemented, and the result are laws that create standards that are impractical for everyone.”

Attendees can attend either the lobby day events or the dinner event or both.
