MERS Counsel to Join “Foreclosure Delay Lawsuits” Session

Joseph Patry, MERS Counsel, will join a panel with Robert Finlay, Esq., Wright Finlay & Zak, Michelle Mierzwa, Esq., Cal-Western Reconveyance Corp., and David Brooks, Esq., Bank of America, in an exciting UTA session “Foreclosure Delay Lawsuits”, held on Tuesday November 9th during the Association’s 35th Annual Education Conference in Las Vegas. The session will cover the incidence of lawsuits designed to add obstacles to the foreclosure process. The panel will address the issues involved in such lawsuits – and their dominance on the Internet via ‘form complaints’ including indemnification and insurance claims. The panelists will also address what to tell lenders and how to best triage these matters.
Joe Patry has been an in-house counsel at MERS since January 2008. He works on MERS-related litigation in over 250 cases pending around the country in both state and federal court.
