Sonoma County Sale Location Update

“Sonoma County has identified the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building as an alternative location for conducting Trustee’s Sales,” UTA Counsel Phil Adleson, writes. “The Veteran’s Hall is apparently a property managed by the county. While the county is in the process of drafting a proposal for industry-use of the Veteran’s Hall, (A proposal and draft license agreement should be sent out to representatives of trustees and posting and publishing companies no later than Friday, April 30, 2010. Undoubtedly, the use of this property will be on a fee basis. Other conditions of use have not been clearly identified at this time.) there are several ongoing issues with the matter,” Adleson explains in an article entitled “In Search of a Trustee’s Sale Location: Sonoma County and Beyond.”

Other locations may (or may not) provide permits for trustee’s sales and the sales location problem in Sonoma County is not an isolated issue.
