Several ‘Foreclosure 101’ Course Opportunities Available

UTA is offering several dates and locations in the coming weeks for those who wish to take UTA’s popular “California Foreclosure 101” course.

The course is designed for employees who are new, or relatively new, in the default/foreclosure industry. The course focuses on basic California foreclosure law and will be taught in the following cities on the following dates:

San Diego, CA - On Saturday, May 15th, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Four Points by Sheraton San Diego. Randy Newman, Esq. National Foreclosure Service is the course instructor. (There will be a break for lunch.)

Concord, CA – On Wednesday, June 9th from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm at the First American Title Building in the Main Conference Room. Elizabeth Knight, President of PLM Lender Services, and June Christy, Vice President of Standard Trust Deed Service Company will be the course instructors.

Granada Hills, CA – On Wednesday, July 14th from 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm at The Odyssey Restaurant (Atlantis Room). Stephen Hicklin, ReconTrust Company, N.A., and Linda Kidder, T.D. Service Company will be the course instructors.

The three-hour Foreclosure 101 courses cover basic industry terminology; what foreclosure is; and what information the lender provides, and why. After taking the course, attendees will have an understanding of all phases in the trustee’s timeline. The course will also review and provide samples of relevant documents and will provide basic information concerning TSGs and other title issues and will address basic legal issues affecting the foreclosure process.
