Tim Leary, Jonathan Ogden and Mike Sherrard
To Join UTA Golfers At 17th Annual Golf Tournament

UTA Golfers will have the pleasure of enjoying the company of three acclaimed former professional athletes during the 17th Annual UTA Golf Tournament, held on Sunday November 15th during the Association’s 34th Annual Education Conference & Trade Show. The Golf Tournament will be held at the beautiful Siena Golf Club. Former Los Angeles Dodger standout Tim Leary; former Baltimore Ravens star Jonathan Ogden and former San Francisco 49er Mike Sherrard will join the event, allowing participants to chat about professional baseball and football with players who played in the “bigs.”
Tim Leary spent 10 years in the majors. His best performance came in 1988 when he helped the Dodgers to the World Series Championship, earning the National League “Comeback Player of the Year” award. As the pitching coach for the UCLA Bruins in 1997, Leary helped the squad reach the College World Series. Leary holds a degree in economics from UCLA.
In his twelve-year NFL career, Jonathan Odgen played in 177 games (through 2007 season) and consistently performed as one of the best offensive linemen in the league, making him one of the greatest of all time. Ogden is a nine-time All-Pro and an eleven-time Pro Bowler at left tackle. In 2000, Ogden won a championship ring with the Baltimore Ravens. Ogden announced his retirement in 2008 after a career that spanned 12 seasons, all with Baltimore. In 1995, Ogden received the Outland Trophy and the Morris Trophy, was the UPI Lineman of the Year, and was a unanimous 1st-team All-American at UCLA. Ogden eventually had his jersey (#79) retired - only the eighth player in Bruins' history to receive that honor.
Mike Sherrard is a UCLA graduate who spent 9 productive years in the NFL as a Wide Receiver. He played for three seasons with the New York Giants and four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, enjoying his best season in 1994.
