David Owen

Chief Operating Officer, McCarthy & Holthus, LLP.

David has been with McCarthy & Holthus since April 1999 and has been the Chief Operating Officer since 2001, focusing efforts on refining timeline management, process flow and compliance to gain efficiencies and controls through case management systems and process enhancements as well as facilitating continuity and better controls in training initiatives, distribution/implementation of client directives, audit oversight and vendor management. David has been intimately involved in all aspects of the firm, including foreclosure, bankruptcy and evictions.

Previous to becoming COO, David managed the McCarthy & Holthus National Division, which was responsible for outsourcing and monitoring bankruptcy, foreclosure and eviction matters on a national basis.

Prior to McCarthy & Holthus, David was the default servicing manager for Homecomings Financial Network, a subsidiary of GMAC/RFC. As Default Servicing Manger, he was responsible for the handling of all loans in a default status as well as those that were referred for attorney handling on a national basis.

Previous to Homecomings Financial Network, David was the Foreclosure Manager for Professional Foreclosure Corporation, responsible for production and processing of non-judicial foreclosures.

David has over 25 years of experience from both the default servicing/mortgage industry and vendor attorney perspective and has extensive experience in management of non-performing assets (loans and REO) both for others as well as portfolio loans.
