UTA Orange County Dinner Event Will Address FDCPA and Successors In Interest

The OC Dinner is always informative and fun

UTA’s Annual Orange County Dinner Event will be held Thursday, April 20th from 6 pm – 8 pm at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana, California.  The speakers are Dean T. Kirby, Jr., Esq., Kirby & McGuinn and Kayo Manson-Tompkins, Esq., The Wolf Firm.

The dinner covers two topics.  The FDCPA and the impact on Foreclosure Trustees will address; ‘What qualifies an entity as a debt collector?’; ‘What if the trustee sends a demand letter for the servicer prior to the notice of default?’; and ‘What is a Mini Miranda and how should it be used and why?’

The dinner will also cover Successors in Interest and will address: “Who can qualify as a successor in interest?’; ‘When would the trustee become aware that the borrower is deceased?’; ‘Has the servicer received confirming documentation of the death?’; and ‘What is a claimant entitled to once they have been classified as a successor in interest?’

The event is sponsored by Metropolitan News Company.
