UTA Announces 2011 Officers


UTA President,
Robert Finlay

Robert Finlay, Esq., Partner with Wright, Finlay & Zak, based in Newport Beach, California, has been elected by his colleagues on the Association’s Board of Directors to serve as President of the Association.  Robert succeeds Rande Johnsen, President of Trustee Corps, who had served as President for the maximum allowable two consecutive terms.  Mr. Finlay’s entire legal career has been dedicated to representing members of the mortgage industry.  In 2001, Robert co-founded Wright, Finlay & Zak, specializing in representing lenders, loan servicers, foreclosure trustees and title companies in all aspects of real estate and mortgage-related litigation.  Mr. Finlay is a regular contributor to UTA Quarterly and recently wrote an amicus brief for UTA.

Martin McGuinn, Esq., Partner with Kirby & McGuinn, based in San Diego, California, was elected as Vice President of the UTA for the 2011 term.  Martin succeeds Elizabeth Knight, President of PLM Lender Services who served as Vice President.  Martin McGuinn is a real estate and creditors’ rights litigator who focuses his practice in the representation of lenders, loan servicers, receivers and trustees in complex bankruptcy, foreclosure and lender liability litigation, including class action suits.  He has written numerous articles for UTA Quarterly and is a frequent speaker at UTA meetings.

Felita Kealing, Client Services Liaison/Marketing Representative for Lender Processing Services, Agency Sales & Posting, based in Irvine, California was re-elected Secretary of the Association for the 2011 term. Felita’s responsibilities with LPS-ASAP include working with trustee and attorney clients in the areas of Marketing and Sales to ensure that their serviced needs are met.

Joyce Copeland, Director of Default Operations of NDeX West, LLC, based in Addison, Texas, was elected as Chief Financial Officer of the Association for the 2011 term.  Joyce succeeds Chris Rebhuhn, Chief Executive Officer of Regional Trustee Services Corporation and Vice President of Regional Technology Services, LLC, based in Seattle, Washington,  who had served in the position the previous two years.  NDeX West’s clients include the largest servicers in the industry.  Ms. Copeland provides leadership, guidance and direction to operations and legal staff.  Joyce has conducted numerous seminars for UTA, including ‘Basic Foreclosure 101’ and ‘Bidding Strategies at the Trustee Sale’.
