UTA Announces California and Texas ‘Foreclosure 101’ Classes
UTA has scheduled three more ‘Foreclosure 101’ classes. The course is designed for employees who are new in the default/foreclosure industry. The classes will focus on basic California law or Texas foreclosure law.
The “California Foreclosure 101” course will be held:
April 25th (Saturday), 10:00 am – 2:00 pm – San Diego, California. Course instructor is Randy Newman, Esq., National Foreclosure Service. There will be a break for lunch, although lunch is ‘on your own’.

The “Texas Foreclosure 101” course will be held:
May 13th (Wednesday), 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm – Dallas, Texas. Course instructors are Jim DeLoach, Esq., Butler & Hosch; Jay Jacobs, Lender Processing Services, Land Records of America; and Mary M. Speidel, Esq., Codilis & Stawiarski.

Another “California Foreclosure 101” course will be held:
June 2nd (Tuesday), 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm – Concord, California. Course instructors are Elizabeth Knight, PLM Lender Services and June Christy, Standard Trust Deed Service Company.

The three-hour Foreclosure 101 courses cover basic industry terminology; what foreclosure is; and what information the lender provides, and why. After taking the course, attendees will have an understanding of all phases in the trustee’s timeline. The course will also review and provide samples of relevant documents and will provide basic information concerning TSGs and other title issues and will address basic legal issues affecting the foreclosure process.
