Two ‘Foreclosure 101’ Courses Announced

UTA has announced two scheduled sessions of two different versions of the ‘Foreclosure 101’ course.  The course is designed for employees who are new in the default/foreclosure industry.  The first course focuses on basic Texas foreclosure law, the second course focuses on basic California foreclosure law.

The three-hour Foreclosure 101 courses cover basic industry terminology; what foreclosure is; and what information the lender provides, and why.  After taking the course, attendees will have an understanding of all phases in the trustee’s timeline.  The course will also review and provide samples of relevant documents and will provide basic information concerning TSGs and other title issues and will address basic legal issues affecting the foreclosure process.

The “Texas Foreclosure 101” course will be held:
February 25th, 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm (Registration at 1:00 pm) – Dallas, Texas.  Course instructors are Jim DeLoach, Esq., Butler & Hosch; Jay Jacobs, Lender Processing Services, Land Records of America; and Mary M. Speidel, Esq., Codilis & Stawiarski.

The “California Foreclosure 101” course will be held:
February 27th, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (Registration at 8:30 am) – Cerritos, California.  Course instructors are Randy Newman, Esq., National Foreclosure Service and Richard Witkin, Esq., Attorney at Law.
